EPALE — Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe

Expanding European Engagement in Adult Learning and Lifelong Education

 

EIPRHR AISBL has joined EPALE — the Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe, strengthening its engagement with Europe’s adult-learning and lifelong-education community.

 

• EPALE is a European, multilingual and open-membership community for adult-learning professionals. It operates as a European Commission initiative and is funded under the Erasmus+ Programme through the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).

 

Participation in EPALE provides EIPRHR with an additional European platform for knowledge exchange, professional dialogue, dissemination of good practices and the development of potential cooperation with organisations and professionals working across adult learning and education.

 

For EIPRHR, participation in the EPALE community supports its institutional work in:

 

• adult education and lifelong learning;

• professional and skills-based development; 

• research-informed teaching and training; 

• European cooperation and institutional partnerships; 

• inclusive access to learning opportunities; and

EIPRHR AISBL has joined the European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA) following the acceptance of its institutional pledge.

The European Alliance for Apprenticeships brings together governments and key stakeholders across Europe to contribute to strengthening the quality, supply and overall image of apprenticeships, while also supporting the mobility of apprentices. Stakeholder engagement within the Alliance is developed through commitments and voluntary pledges.

 

EIPRHR’s participation in EAfA represents an important institutional milestone in its continuing engagement with European initiatives relating to education, employability, professional development, lifelong learning and skills-based training.

 

Through its EAfA engagement, EIPRHR seeks to contribute to:

 

• strengthening links between education, skills and professional experience; 

• supporting quality and inclusive learning opportunities; 

• encouraging skills development and employability;

EIPRHR AISBL has joined the European Commission’s Pact for Skills community, further strengthening its European engagement in lifelong learning, skills development, professional capacity-building and inclusive education.

 

The Pact for Skills brings together public and private organisations, education and training providers, public authorities, social partners and other stakeholders to support collective action on upskilling and reskilling across Europe.

 

Participation in the Pact reflects EIPRHR’s commitment to the core principles of the Pact for Skills Charter, including:

 

• promoting a culture of lifelong learning for all; 

• building strong skills partnerships; 

• monitoring skills supply and demand and anticipating future skills needs; and 

• working against discrimination while promoting gender equality and equal opportunities.
